Scenic Drives
The mountains come alive with pops of autumn colors, making fall an extra special time for scenic drives.

Mirror Lake Scenic Byway – 1.5 to 3 hours average drive time
Mirror Lake Scenic Byway is one of the most popular scenic fall foliage drives, taking you on a 42-mile stretch along State Route 150. Mirror Lake lives up to its name with amazing reflections!

Guardsman Pass – ½ to 1-hour average drive time
Enjoy the lovely mountain scenery over the pass connecting Park City to Brighton. This backcountry road is only open in the summer and fall. *Be weather aware before adventuring out on this scenic drive.

Fall Festivals
Fall brings the annual Autumn Aloft Festival. This event features 20+ hot air balloonists from around the world. If you love photography, you will want your camera in hand. This amount of hot air balloons floating against the blue sky above the mountains is awe-inspiring.

Take a 75-minute walking tour of the historic ski town sharing ghost stories about the many haunted buildings around Main Street.

Hiking
Get up close and personal with the vibrant fall colors. There is an abundance of trails for all skill levels minutes from the resort, making this a great activity for the whole family.

Round Valley Rail Trail – Easy
Round Valley Rail Trail is a 7.1-mile loop trail that is good for all skill levels and offers scenic views. Dogs are welcome as long as you keep your pup on a leash.

Plunko’s Peak – Moderate
Plunko’s Peak is a 4.5-mile out-and-back trail. Take in views of the Jordanelle Reservoir and keep an eye out; this is a fun trail for spotting wildlife.

Iron Canyon Trail – Hard
Iron Canyon Trail is a 5.5-mile out-and-back trail and is terrific for bird-watching. A couple of things to note, parking is limited, and the trail goes through avalanche terrain. Make sure to check the daily avalanche forecast before heading out on a hike. View More Info Here
